*Care to get darker henna stains:
●Wash your hands and feet properly with soap before applying henna. Do not use any moisturizer or cream on your hands or feet before applying henna. If applied, wash it thoroughly with soap and then start applying henna. Moisturizer or cream affects the stain.
●Do not scrape off henna immediately after it’s dried. Henna should stay on the hands/legs minimum 5 hours once the application is fully complete.
●You can even heat dry henna for faster drying. Put 8 -10 cloves on the pan and take the heat on the henna-ed hands.
●Dab your hands and feet with coconut oil half an hour before scrapping henna. Scrape off your henna without using water. Use butter knife for easy scrapping.
●Once the henna is completely scrapped off gently, rub vicks/tiger balm all over your hands and feet.
●Henna stain requires a minimum of 48 hours after scrapping to mature completely. During this time try to avoid putting your hands and feet in water as much as possible.
●Use gloves when required, but avoid keeping hands under gloves for longer times. It would cause sweating, and that would affect the stain and would lead into spreading into the non-henna part of your designs.
●Try to heat your hands with cloves twice within 48 hours.
●Avoid using mustard oil or chuna (lime) for darker stains. This might affect the quality of henna and may result in it any side effects or even lead to peeling off henna.
● Body heat may affect henna stain.
